The George had a great response to the homophobic, Nazi vandalism on its wall
YESTERDAY MORNING, IT emerged that the exterior walls of The George – Dublin’s oldest and most iconic gay bar – had been defaced with homophobic and Nazi graffiti overnight.
The Gardaí have launched an investigation into the incident and the chalk graffiti was wiped clear by midmorning:

Taking to Facebook yesterday afternoon, The George’s response was defiant and unequivocal on the two-year anniversary weekend of the marriage equality referendum:
And they followed it up with another post last night:
“Home is where the heart is <3 join us tonight as we get together to celebrate the YES vote anniversary… no one can dampen our Glittery, Britney Spears lyric filled hearts on days like these… we’ll see you on the dancefloor later”
